Every large piece is assessed at the survey — how it is built, what it is made of, whether it can come apart safely, and whether it will go back together properly afterwards.

Some pieces travel whole. If a unit will not survive dismantling and it will clear the doors and the vehicle, it goes as it is — wrapped, edge-protected and carried carefully. That takes more space and sometimes more men, and it is stated in the quotation.

Some cannot travel whole, and we say what the risk is. Where a piece must come apart to leave the room and the fittings are unlikely to hold a second time, you are told before it is touched, not after.

And some are not worth moving at all. On a long route to Delhi or Punjab especially, a board wardrobe that may not reassemble properly can cost more in freight than a new one costs at the other end. The surveyor will say so. You decide.

None of that makes the furniture worse than it is — modular furniture is perfectly good furniture. It simply behaves differently on a move, and you are better off knowing which of your pieces are which before the packing starts.

How Our Moving Process Works in Pupri
